New York City was the stage where LG officially lifted the cloth from the worst kept secret of 2015, the LG G4. The G4’s specs were leaked ahead of the official launch and, as expected, the official announcement lined up perfectly with those leaks.
The LG G4 runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 six-core processor, 3GB of RAM, a new subtle design with genuine leather backing, a 16MP camera with improved Optical Image Stablization, and a removable 3,000 mAh battery. The G4 also sports a microSD card slot for expansion compatible with the standard 128GB SD cards. The G4 has a 5.5 inch QuadHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, giving it a pixel-per-inch count of 577. LG calls its display an IPS Quantum Display with better brightness than the LG G3, 20 percent better color gamut, and 50 percent better contrast than last year’s model.
No pricing or availability has been announced by LG at this point but expect the LG G4 to be on sale in the near future.
